Mr. Femi Oluwaniyi is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation in Nigeria (CITN). He is also an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Stock Brokers of Nigeria (CIS) and holds a Masters degree in Public Administration.
Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987, he joined the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in 1994 after a stint of about 7 years with the Private Sector. He rose through the ranks and operated in all the critical areas of tax administration including as Tax Controller, Regional Coordinator, Director Government Business Tax, Director Collections and Director Debt Management before his current appointment as the Coordinating Director in charge of the Tax Operations Group (TOG) which superintendents over about 80% of FIRS workforce.
In the course of his career development, he has undergone several training programs both locally and internationally, including the Lagos Business School’s Leadership Development Program, Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC)’s Advancing Management Potentials (AMP) in the United Kingdom, and the Canadian Revenue Authority, just to mention a few.
For a hobby, he is an avid Sports lover.
A committed Christian, he is happily married with children.
